Kitty and Matt picked a beautiful April afternoon to get married at Braeloch, an open and airy pavilion located on a mountaintop overlooking Roanoke. The ceremony took place on the hillside with the Roanoke Mountains as their backdrop. Just as the ceremony began, a cloud swept over the sky bringing everyone relief from the hot sun and the ceremony turned out just beautifully. Afterwards guest made their way under the pavilion for cocktail hour. White, green and blue lanterns were hung from the ceiling of the pavilion, centerpieces were made from dried peas and candles, and daisy and green button mum arrangements adorned the cocktail tables.
The wedding party entered the reception through the two large doors, saving the grand entrance for the new Mr. and Mrs. Walls to begin their first dance. Dinner was served by Hill City BBQ, while musical entertainment was provided by RSP Entertainment, Matt and Matt kept the guests dancing into the night. Towards the end of the evening, the fabulously moist cake made by Kelly Cakes was served, as well as, the custom grooms cake made by Champagne Taste Cakes. The evening was an overall success. Guests enjoyed beautiful views of Roanoke, delicious food, and a great time with their friends and family. The groom was even heard saying, “it was worth all of the hard work”.
