Bekah & Bryan March 13, 2013

March weather can be so unpredictable but Bekah and Bryan were so lucky, with snow falling (and melting) just days before their wedding, the weather that Saturday ended up being sunny and beautiful. The couple was married at St. Paul’s Methodist church in Christiansburg Virginia and afterwards guests traveled just a few miles down the road to Sinkland Farms for the reception. Guests drove around to the back of the property to be greeted by valet attendants, then they walked up a ramp into an enclosed tent where cocktail hour was held. A wooden hutch displayed the mason jars with stripped beverage straws and a table in the center of the tent displayed biscuits on platters that belonged to the bride’s mother. A seating chart poster listed the guests’ names alphabetically so they could easily find their seat for dinner. The reception tables were set with a warm brown linen and a toweling runner, the elegant centerpieces were displayed in silver containers designed by Gloriosa. The couple chose to stick with the rustic barn theme and served Due South BBQ for dinner, afterwards guests enjoyed entertainment from a local bluegrass band. What a beautiful wedding, congratulations Bekah & Bryan!

Jamie & Eric June 27, 2011

Jamie and Eric’s wedding in tones of blush and gold was romantic and elegant. The chapel where the couple held their ceremony was commiissioned by the brides grandfather and held a special meaning for many of the guests. Large peony arrangments in blush and white decorated the altar and a custom aisle runner with rhinestone accents added the extra “bling” that the bride was looking for. After the ceremony the couple travelled in a vintage Rolls Royce to the reception at Harbour View Event Center in Woodbridge, Virginia. The tables were dressed in soft pink pintuck with gold chargers and soft, round centerpieces bursting with peonies. The chairs were covered in white chair covers tied with gold satin sashes and rhinestone buckles.

Nannette & Charles May 18, 2011

It was such a pleasure working with Nannette and Charles to create their dream wedding weekend in Blacksburg, Virginia. Every aspect of the wedding was filled with personal touches from the moment that guests arrived at the hotel until they they left on Sunday after breakfast. A fun color scheme of pink and orange was carried throughout the wedding. Hanging from the doors of the Virginia Tech War Memorial Chapel were two large letters, “N” and “C” and a custom aisle runner with the couples monogram dressed up the aisle. After the ceremony guests travelled by bus to the German Club Manor for the cocktail hour and recpeiton. Hanging from the beams in the foyer of the German Club were orange and pink lanterns and custom pillows on the couches. The guest tables had white floor length linens with orange and pink criss-crossing runners and white chair covers with pink and orange organza sashes. All deocr and floral element designs were created by Diamond Events.

Brie & Gino April 30, 2011

Brie and Gino were married on a rainy spring day in April. The morning of the wedding the wind and rain didn’t let up for a second, forcing us to move the ceremony inside. Miraculously, as soon as it was time for the ceremony, the clouds broke and the sun shone through giving the bride and groom time for pictures outside while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour. Flowers were designed by Angela Courser of Corsair Floral & Décor.

Mandie & Alec March 3, 2011

Mandie and Alec held both their ceremony and reception at the historic Vinton War Memorial outside of Roanoke, Virginia. The Marine wedding held true to its colors in red, blue and touches of gold. The centerpieces were tall arrangements with red roses and branches coming from the top and the low centerpieces were arrangements made of a variety of white mums wrapped in ribbon so guests were able to take a bouquet home with them. Guests also took home canned apple butter from Jamisons Orchard, what a delicious treat!

Erin & Brett January 7, 2011

Being involved with Erin & Brett’s wedding from the very beginning, looking for venues, working with vendors and putting together a complete decor and floral package that was exactly what she envisioned, was such a pleasure and so rewarding to see it all come together. After a thorough search throughout Loudoun County and the Hunt Country area, the couple chose Rose Hill Manor to host their wedding. The ceremony was held on the back patio with bright red rose petals lining the aisle and a custom chuppah made by a family friend. The bridesmaids carried white calla lilys and Erin’s bouquet of red roses and mini white calla lilies popped in front her white wedding dress. For the reception the tables were dressed in black linens with a white embroidered overlay and red satin napkins, the chairs had a black chair cover and white satin sash. The centerpieces were groupings of white hydrangeas and submerged in the water were red LED lights which created a glow on the table during dinner. Congratulations Erin & Brett, I hope your marriage is as beautiful as your wedding!

Elizabeth & Julio December 17, 2010

Elizabeth and Julio married at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Roanoke, Virginia in October of 2010. Elizabeth had a very specific vision for her wedding incorporating bold tones of eggplant, burnt orange and pops of green which all came together marvelously. The reception was held at the Sheraton Hotel & Conference Center, the style and tones of the hotel were a great addition to the wedding décor. The tables were set with burnt orange pintuck linens and tall, colorful centerpieces. The menu cards designed by Diamond Events were tucked into a square napkin folded flat at each place setting. To top off the fall theme, the soup was served in a hollowed pumpkin. The guests were entertained by three different ensembles throughout the night, a Mariachi band that serenaded guests during cocktail hour and dinner, a hot salsa band that made their way from Washington D.C. to get everyone dancing and a DJ to make sure that no one went home early! And the remarkable coordinator that pulled this all of, our very own Morgan Leonard, who did a fabulous job!

Tori & Roberto December 13, 2010

Tori and Roberto had a beautiful pink and silver wedding at the stately Rose Hill Manor in Leesburg Virginia. Their ceremony and cocktail hour took place on the back patio so that guests were able to enjoy the fall temperatures outside. Afterwards guests made their way into the ballroom. The tables were dressed in light pink pintuck linens, silver satin napkins and silver chiavari chairs. The centerpieces were bright pink hydrangeas and roses in a square vase wrapped with a silver ribbon. The evening was full of fun and dancing to a wide variety of music but often times salsa, which got everyone on the dance floor and looked like so much fun! Congratulations to Tori and Roberto!

Betty & Manh October 19, 2010

When we first met with Betty and Manh they were living in Northern Virginia while planning their wedding in Roanoke. During their engagement the couple moved to Houston for work, resulting in many Skype appointments and two jammed packed trips back to Roanoke to create a wedding weekend that blended Chinese and American wedding traditions. The morning of the wedding friends and family gathered at the groom’s house to form a caravan of cars before driving to the brides home to perform a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Later in the day the couple held a traditional American wedding ceremony in the ballroom of the Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center with over 200 guests in attendance. Since the couple took pictures ahead of time they were able to enjoy cocktail hour with their guests. The evening continued to the sounds of RSP Entertainment while photographer Chelsa Yoder captured shots of guests on the dance floor. The five tiered Chinese flavored wedding cake was made by Cakes by Happy Eatery in Centreville, Virginia and then brought down and assembled by Diamond Events, what a task, but everyone was so appreciative it was well worth it!

Elizabeth & Steven October 17, 2010

Both Elizabeth and Steven grew up and attend Blacksburg High School and Virginia Tech together so chosing to host their wedding in their hometown didn’t take much considerataion. The day started early at the salon to be ready in time for the 11:00am ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. After the ceremony guests made there way to the Virginia Tech German Club while the couple went around campus taking pictures with photographer Laura of Laura’s Focus Photography. The deejay and mc of the reception was the wonderful Roy Prusak of RSP Entertainment. Floral decor was provided by Best Wishes and attached to the brides bouquet was a small horseshoe that represents good luck in English tradition. A combination of great frieinds, great music and a wonderful reason to celebrate resulted in an afternoon of fun and a packed dance floor.
